WC G98 Elite Promoted To MRL Premier I Division
The Team has been accepted into MRL's Premier I level. This means, we will not play OSSL and we will not have
to play two games before 12/31. Basically this league level of
play means we'll play less league games, more tournaments/showcases, but
each game will be most critically important to perform at 110%.
The MRL has refined its structure in adding a level of competition between the existing Premier Division and the many First Divisions in each age group. For the 2013 Fall Season and the 2014 Spring Season, the MRL will operate a three-tier structure of Premier I Divisions, Premier II Divisions, and First Divisions. This is not an expansion but a realignment of teams below the existing Premier Divisions (from now on referred to as Premier I Divisions) in order to enhance competitive matches

There are three categories for
hosting MRL games:

and another team from within its
division. Host bears all
costs for hosting
--Group Hosting--a team hosts a
number of teams over a we
ekend amongst teams from within its
division. Host team
bears all costs for hosting
--MRL Hosting—MRL hosts games at a
multiple field location.
There are no field costs to the teams
for playing matches at
MRL hosted weekend sites.
The MRL hosted weekends for the 2014
Spring Season are

and 2 all-weather turf fields) on

Overland Park KS (Overland Park
Soccer
Complex—6-8 all-weather turf fields)
on April 18-19-20
Rockford IL (Sportscore II—12 grass

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO PLAY WEEKENDS
The four 2014 Spring Season Must Be
Available to Play
weekends are on April 12-13, April
19-20, April 26-27 and May
3-4.
Teams are excused from MRL play on
these weekends due to state cup
conflicts. However, it is the
responsibility of teams affected by their inability to play
on Must Be Available to Play
Weekends, to
be flexible in being able to
schedule
MRL games on other weekends during
the Season. A team’s requirement to be
available to play on these MRL

the teams. The purpose of the Must
Be Available to Play
Weekends is to insure common play

Consolidated Winter Info from Tom
Parents,
Bob and assistant coach Steve Bornhoffer have planned a meeting for Sunday Nov 10, 2013 at Christ Church 5165 Western Row Road Mason, OH 45040. Enter through door #3 at the church and the meeting will be held in the Parlor Room.
The first 30 minutes of the meeting Bob and Steve Bornhoffer (asst coach from NKU) will review college recruiting steps. Parents are welcome to stay if they want to hear this information. The second 30 minutes of the meeting will be team goal setting with Bob and the girls only, no parents involved in that part of the meeting.
Bob's U15 Elite, U16 Elite and U17 Elite will each hvae their own respective meetings separately as follows;
U15 Elite meet from 4:30-5:30pm
U16 Elite meet from 5:30-6:30pm
U17 Elite meet from 6:30-7:30pm
I have added these meetings to the attached revised Nov/Dec schedule and highlighted in yellow.
Soccer balls: Our soccer ball order could not be fulfilled by the UK vendor. Therefore, plan to bring your own ball to practice Tuesday, 11/5. Should Bob find a good deal on a premium soccer ball, we'll purchase them at that time.
Some of you have inquired about the Disney and/or Georgia Showcase for flight and travel reasons. Below are some items to consider regarding travels for each showcase;
Disney Showcase:
Georgia Showcase;
I hope this information helps. I don't know when I'll have actual game times but when I do I will forward to the Team.

The only possible changes or additions to this schedule
that I am aware of are two possible OSSL games. If we don't make MRL
Premier I, we'll play OSSL and MRL. OSSL requires us to play at least two
games before 12/31/13.
We'll know where we end up in MRL the week of November 11th.
Uniform/Training Gear update: I have the Holloway jackets and training shirts. I am waiting for the hoodies and 3/4 zips as well as the new players blue sweat shirts to be finished at the embroidery shop. I will distribute what ever I have the first night of practice to the parents. If you are car-pooling to practice, I will give you the respective players items in your car-pool.
I have also updated the practice schedule to include practice uniform colors for your reference. Everyone is receiving a blue and white training shirt (same as past years) but you will need to find or buy a gray one. I am checking with Soccer Village to confirm they have gray training shirts in stock and will let you know. Realize most likely your daughter will be wearing an Under Armour long sleeve shirt under the training shirt but that is their choice.
Here is the breakdown of the training uniform for everyone's reference;

Some of you have inquired about the Disney and/or Georgia Showcase for flight and travel reasons. Below are some items to consider regarding travels for each showcase;
Disney Showcase:
- Hotel reservations are the 30th, 31st, 1st & 2nd, with departure from the hotel on the 3rd

- We will play a game, one a day, on 31st, 1st & 2nd.
- If we are finish first or second in our bracket, we could play in a final or consolation on the 3rd. The web site says games on the 3rd run from 8 AM to 5:30 PM.
- There will be practice here in Ohio on 12/26 & 27th. Travel days to Disney are 12/28 & 29th.
Georgia Showcase;
- Plan to arrive anytime on Thursday 12/5. Hopefully everyone can make a full day of school on 12/5 before heading South.
- We will play one game each day on 12/6, 7 & 8th
- Bob will request to the showcase that the latest we play on Sunday will be a noon game.
I hope this information helps. I don't know when I'll have actual game times but when I do I will forward to the Team.

Winter Info Consolidated
Cold weather uniform pieces;
The Holloway winter jackets are being embroidered and should be finished soon. Bob is outfitting all four of the high school girls teams with an Adidas hoodie that is fleece lined (black with white stripes) and a three quarter zip Adidas pullover (grey with red stripes). Both will be embroidered. Cost for both items embroided is $54.60 (covered by your $300 payment). These items are in place of the red sweat shirt and black sweat pants.
Regarding the above, I have a set of a medium and small. I am attempting to get these into everyone's hand to try on and decide which size each girl needs. I will keep everyone informed as these are passed around so you can report back to me the size needed for your daughter.
League information;
We have to apply for Ohio South Soccer League OSSL. If the Team qualifies for MRL Premier I league, we will drop out of OSSL with no penalty and only play MRL and showcases/tournaments. If we don't qualify for MRL Premier I league, we will play OSSL and MRL but less tournamemnts. FYI, OSSL is not as competitive as MRL.
Promotion piece for team;
We are working on organizing a promotional "hand-out" at the showcase similar to what the U16 does. Once I have a template with the Team/player information, I will email for everyone's review.

- Bob decided we are NOT going to do the Ohio Galaxies Showcase in Xenia that was originally schedule for 11/30 through 12/1.
- Instead we are applying for the Inagural Adidas Gateway Showcase held by King Hammer (local Cincinnati) on 11/22 through 11/24. Once this application is confirm I will let you name but please mark you calendar. This showcase is the same cost as the Ohio Galaxies Showcase, $700.
- We are signed up for the Adidas GSA Showcase in Fayetteville, GA (just south of Atlanta) for 12/6-12/8. We will play one game each day, including Friday 12/6, therefore you will need to arrive at the hotel sometime on 12/5. NOTE: For this showcase we will be staying at a Wingate, 7882, Senoia Road, Fairburn, GA 30213. I have block 18 rooms for 3 nights each, with a room rate of $89 night, including continental breakfast. There are 10 queen/queen rooms and 8 king w/pullout rooms. Each player's parent needs to call 770.892.3006 and ask for the "Adidas Invitational" block and chose which type of room you want and provide a credit card number to reserve the room. Any rooms not reserved November 11th will be dropped. Please call sooner than later and please do not call the hotel directly.
- Disney Showcase information remains the same, no changes
- Disney Showcase - accepted - 12/30/13 - 1/3/14
Soccer Balls:
- Bob wants the each girl to have the same quality soccer ball, which I have ordered. Below is the link of the ball I ordered, and yes they are coming from the UK. The cost per ball with shipping and international charges comes to just under $40 per ball.
